Houston Met Dance Policies and Procedures

Houston MET Dance has a NO REFUND policy. Please do not resister for a class or make any purchases until you are certain you will attend and fully understand how our cancellation and make up polices and procedures work.

In purchasing classes, the student assumes responsibility in following all policies and procedures set for by the Houston Met Dance Inc.

Purchases Do Expire. Students are responsible for keeping track of their purchase expiration dates online through their MindBody accounts.

All sales are final and there are no refunds on purchases. Those who believe they have extenuating circumstances are encouraged to contact classes@metdance.org immediately.


Adult class rates

Class Rates: Adult Classes

  • $20.00 Pre-Registration in MindBody/

  • $22.00 Walk-up (please note we are a cashless business)

4 Class Card** $80 

8 Class Card** $160 

METWORK MEMBERSHIP $75/Monthly

**All regularly purchased classes expire 4 weeks from date of purchase and will not be extended unless proof of injury.

10% discount for METWORK Members

Students are able to cancel reservations prior to class start time through the MindBody App or Website. Once a student has early canceled, they are able to reschedule the class at their convenience.

No Shows are not automatically cancelled. Cancellation is the responsibility of the student. If you miss the cancellation window contact classes@metdance.org

HMD can not accommodate class observations, If you are curious if a class is the right level or fit for you, we recommend that you register for a single class and let the instructor know your concerns at the beginning of class. You are also encouraged to follow up with the instructor after class for additional class suggestions if desired.

Adult Intro Courses

COST: Adult Intro Classes

$112.00 PER 6 WEEK SESSION, 1 CLASS PER WEEKly for 6 weeks.

  • Our intro courses are designed to progress through the 6 weeks and are not set up to accommodate drop in attendance.

  • The goal of our intro adult courses is the matriculation of students into our beginning level classes. 

  • Space is LIMITED. There are NO REFUNDS and NO PRORATING. Your registration and payment signifies a commitment to the 6 specifically scheduled weeks.

  • You are purchasing a course of scheduled classes that runs 6 week, not a class card that you can use at will.

  • Students will not be admitted into classes if they are more than 15 minutes late.

Students are able to cancel reservations prior to class start time through the MindBody App or Website. Only classes that have been cancelled directly can be made up.

Scheduling Make-up Classes: To schedule a make-up class you’ll email classes@metdance.org. Due to the specific number of classes in the session and the limited number of spots available, make-ups may not be available within the intro program, and therefore can be scheduled for any class on our open adult schedule.

HMD can not accommodate class observations, If you have never danced before this is the place to start. If you have danced before or have a regular movement practice (yoga, aerobics, martial arts etc.) and are concerned that Intro might be to slow for you, we recommend that you register for a single class at the beginning level and let the instructor know your concerns/ curiosities at the start of class. You are also encouraged to follow up with the instructor after class for additional class suggestions if desired.

Children and Youth Program

School Year (September to May) Tuition for Classes for Children and Youth

One Class Per Week - $990.00

Two Classes Per Week - $1,914.00

Three Classes Per Week - $2,772.00

Four Classes Per Week - $3,564.00

Payment Terms:  

  • Monthly  - Nine (9) Equal Payments Due the fist of each month September through May**

  • Semester - Two payments Due September 1, 2023 and January 1, 2024**

  • Full Year - One Full Payment Due September 1, 2023

**Auto Draft option is available

Multi-student family discount: For families with two or more students enrolled with the household. 10% discount applies for each additional student.

Registration requires a $100/Class NonRefundable Deposit to hold your students place in class. Your tuition balance is invoiced based on the payment terms you select.

MindBody Accounts

All adult registration is available through MindBody either using the MindBody App or HMD’s MindBody site linked on our Adult and Intro Adult pages.

In person and walk up registration is available but still requires a MindBody account which can be set up at the studio. The account only needs to be set up once.

Cancellation Policy

Houston Met Dance reserves the right to cancel classes or events due to weather, issues with the facility such as loss of power, or other circumstances that are beyond the control of Houston MET Dance.

  • Any students pre-registered will be notified.  In the event of a class cancellation, students will be able to reschedule their class or classes at their convenience.

Open Classes with under 3 students registered one (1) hour prior to start time are subject to cancellation.

what to expect when you arrive

Please be sure to read through the checklist below to ensure you are prepared for our check-in process

Check in checklist:

1. Check in will begin 15 minutes before class start time.

2. Please enter the double glass doors located on Main Street across from the gas station. DO NOT USE THE SIDE OR BACK DOORS

3. Don’t forget your water bottle. HMD have water fountains to refill your bottles.

4. Students will not be admitted into classes if they are more than 15 minutes late.

5. Exit is through the doorways that lead directly to the parking lot.

The Houston Metropolitan Dance Center reserves the right to ask any person to leave if they are not adhering to our stated policies and procedures.
