Houston MET Dance’s Summer Dance Camps for Youth (8 - 13 years) are program is designed to expand the technical and creative capacity of young dancers.
Creative Reflections gives students a chance to study dance of different genres; jazz, modern and ballet and more; as well as practice the art of crafting a dance. Morning technique classes focus on expanding each dancer's technical capacity. The students will be guided in the afternoon classes through the process of choreographing, rehearsing and performing dance with HMD faculty. Visual art will be used to inspire the content and structure of the choreography created. The afternoons will be focused on the creative practice, process and presentation, designed to expand each dancer's creative capacity.
All students and all levels are welcome. Different levels of students can be accommodated at each camp.
Dates and Times: July 10th - 24th 2026 | Monday - Friday/ 9a - 3p
$100 Deposit required to hold each students place in camp - Parents will be invoiced balance due

$500/Week
15% Discount on tuition if before April 1 ***
10% Discount tuition if before April 1 - June 1***
*** Extended Day and Meal Plan Options are available but can not be discounted
Bring Water Bottle - HMD has filtered water fountains that dancers can refill their water bottles with.
We do offer a meal plan but if you choose to bring your own Lunch and Snacks - We recommend your dancer in addition to bringing lunch, they bring 3 snacks that will provide lasting energy but that are not too heavy as we will be jumping right back into vigorous dancing. Some good options include fruit, sandwich crackers or string cheese. In addition to snacks please send your dancer a lunch and a water bottle.
Class Attire: Leotard with tights, Yoga Wear, or Solid Color Fitted T - Shirt or Tank with Biker Shorts or Jazz Pants/Leggings. Ballet or Jazz Shoes. No Crop Tops, Jeans or Street clothes.
HMDC’s Dress Code is designed to give students the freedom to dress comfortably while ensuring their physicality can be seen and their range of motion is unobstructed. Because the instructors need to be able to see body lines for placement, we request no baggy gym wear.
We specifically request NO Street Clothes, especially jeans and crop tops. Students will not be admitted to class wearing street clothes (school uniforms or not appropriate clothing for our dance classes)
