Houston Met Dance Adult Ensemble
The Houston Met Dance Adult Ensemble is made up of a community of recreational dance enthusiasts with a desire to deepen their understanding and experience by learning choreography, rehearsing and performing. HMD’s Ensemble members have the opportunity to work with a variety of choreographers and will work collectively to maintain a repertoire of dances through scheduled rehearsals.
To Become a Houston Met Dance Adult Ballet Ensemble Member:
Any Dancers who are currently taking classes at the Beginner/Intermediate level or higher consistently at Houston Met Dance are eligible.
Dancers interested in joining the ensemble should attend a Beginning Intermediate Ballet Class on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday 6:15 p.m. or Sunday 12:30 p.m. to find out more information and communicate interest and receive registration approval.

Rehearsal and Class Requirements:
Weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays 7:15p - 9:00p from Sep 9, 2026 to Aug 7, 2027
Weekly rehearsals will include a facilitated warm up by HMD Faculty.
Ensemble members are welcome to arrive as early as 6:45p to allow for additional warm up time in the upstairs conference room and observation areas.
In addition to the Wednesday rehearsal ensemble members should be taking 2 additional classes weekly.
1 Ballet Class at the Beginning/Intermediate Level and another class of their choosing (Jazz, Tap, Contemporary/Post Modern or Ballet) at the Beginning /Intermediate level.
We understand that dancers will still have conflicts, which we are willing to accommodate as much as possible with adequate beforehand communication.
Tuition:
$1000.00 for the year September to August - Payable In Full, Quarterly, Monthly
METWork & METWork Plus Members - 10% Discount
METWork Unlimited Students - 50% Discount
Weekly classes are not included in Ensemble tuition.
Tickets to performances are not included in Ensemble tuition.
There are no costume or production fees for Ensemble, however all Ensemble members are responsible for their own undergarments.
