HMD’s Creative Ballet/Dance Discovery Classes (3 - 7 years) introduce children to the joy and excitement of dance, music, and movement.  With a focus on creative, social, emotional, and physical development, students will be introduced to the basic ballet technique with a consideration of the 3 - 7-year-old physical development skills. Students will be exposed to dance vocabulary and will grow in their abilities of coordination, balance, body awareness, and as they progress through the class, to link movement together, challenging their memory in addition to creativity, strength, and flexibility.

The 2025/2026 school year program runs August 16th, 2025, through May 16th, 2026.

The full year 2025/2026 program runs from August 16th, 2025, through July 25, 2026.

HMD observes the same holidays as the HISD.

The recital will be June 5 & 6, 2026

Registration for the 2025/2026 Creative Ballet/Dance Discovery season is now open!

Classes Start August 16th, 2025

Although our 2025/2026 schedule does not include weekday classes, we are always willing to add classes to our schedule based on interest. 

Class Attire:

HMD’s Dress Code is designed to give students the freedom to dress comfortably while ensuring their physicality can be seen and their range of motion is unobstructed. Because the instructors need to be able to see body lines for placement, we request no baggy gym wear.

Students will not be admitted to class wearing street clothes (jeans, crop tops, and school uniforms are not appropriate clothing for our dance classes)

Creative Ballet and Dance Discovery Class Attire -

• Leotard with tights (Skin Tone or Pink), Leotard Dress (skirt attached) with tights (Skin Tone or Pink). Ballet Shoes (Skin Tone or Pink).

• Yoga or gym wear, Solid Color T-Shirt or Tank Top with Shorts or Jazz Pants. 

• Creative Ballet Students should have Ballet Shoes.

• Dance Discovery Students can choose between Ballet Shoes and Jazz Shoes.

*At least 1 parent/guardian must be present in the facility for the duration of the class.

What To Expect When You Arrive

Please be sure to read through the checklist below to ensure you are prepared for our check-in process, and be sure you have reviewed the Financial and Program Policies.

1. Check-in will begin 15 minutes before class start time.

2. Please enter the double glass doors located on Main Street (across from the Chevron station). DO NOT ENTER THROUGH THE SIDE OR BACK DOORS PLEASE.

3. Don’t forget your water bottle.

4. Students will not be admitted into classes if they are more than 15 minutes late.

5. For Dance Discovery and Creative Ballet students, at least 1 parent/guardian must be present in the facility for the duration of the class.
