How to Sew Pointe Shoes
HMD does not have a required uniform, but requests dance wear or exercise wear and appropriate shoes for classes. This enables students the freedom to dress comfortably while ensuring their physicality can be seen and their range of motion is unobstructed. Because the instructors need to be able to see body lines for placement, we request no baggy gym wear.
Suggested Attire:
Leotard with tights
Yoga/athleisure wear
Unitard
Solid color t-shirt/shorts, pants, or jazz pants
Ballet, jazz, or tap shoes
No shoes are worn for Contemporary or Modern classes.
